Lacerna: flowing hooded cloak worn by the Romans. The cloak was open-fronted and was clasped by a buckle or a brooch.

Landrines/Lazarines: knee-length boots with soft, widely flared tops.

Lappet: lace or linen attached to a the sides of a cap, usually hanging to the sides of the face.

Lodier: padded roll used around the hips to give the illusion of bulk.

Loincloth: band of material wound around the waist like a skirt.

Lower Stocks: stockings showing beneath upper stocks.
